What are Biometrics?

Some Embassies require each applicant to attend in person to submit their biometrics, alongside their application. Some examples are the China and Nigeria, who both require you to submit your biometrics.

This means that you will be required to attend an appointment at the Embassy or Visa Application Centre, and during your appointment they will take a facial image and capture your ten fingerprints. The rules for who are required to submit biometrics differ from country to country, though generally, minors under 12 years old will not be required to provide this data. We will be able to advise you on this further once you place an order.
