What is a Visa?

A visa is a document issued by a foreign country that provides permission for you to gain entry into that country and stay for a specified period of time. Visas are generally issued at the Consulate or Embassy of the country you wish to visit. They may be stamped or glued directly into your passport, or they may be issued electronically.
